Since that earthquake happened, we've been watching news about a relation between nuclear power and food.
Yesterday I saw news about beef contained cesium was going into circulation. The beef was carried to here in Chiba but no one eat it. But in 0ther places, some people has already eaten the beef.
I was really shocked to hear the news. If I was eating the beef, If people around me were eating it, I would be really mad and sad. Because I would not know what to do and who I shold blame.
Wherever we are in Japan, we are taking in radioactivity. Because of radioactivity, a lot of vegetables were thrown away. Vegetables that farmers had grown for a year or more were thrown away.
How do we overcome this situation?
I didn't think such a big thing would happen during I'm alive...

Guess what,
Do you come up with top 5 of foods of summer in Japan??
(It's like what Rochelle did in class but it's not that serious. lol)
Okay, think of them.
No.5 Boild soybean with beer. (Edamame with beer)
Because I work at an Izakaya and sometimes a lot of boiled soybeans are put on the shelf, I bring some home to eat with alcohol :D If you want some, let me know!
No.4 Shaved ice topped with flavored syrup. (Kakigori)
Most of you must have come up with this! Which flavor do you like the best?? When I was a child I liked "blue hawaii" but I had noticed that it makes my tongue blueeee. lol Now I like mango flavor. I might not be able to get it at Omatsuri but I can get it at Lapaz where I go everyday! yay!
No.3 Watermelon
This may be because we have this kind of image like,
watermelon = beat in it at beach = summer!
Don't you have this? :) By the way, I don't like watermelon much because of its seeds. They are annoying...
No.2 Cold noodle topped with egg, roast pork, bean sprouts, tomato, and cucumber. (Hiyashi-Chuka)
Because it's cold, no restaurants serve cold noodle in winter. It's kind of rare because it's what you can't eat in all season.
Has anyone already eaten it?? I wonder if Chinese people actually eat cold noodle in China.
No.1 Japanese vermicelli. (Somen)
I was surprised that No.1 and No.2 are noodles! Noodle companies must be earning a lot in summer.
What did you come up with?? Let me know :D
